I joined the Trust as Chief Executive almost a year ago and I see the compassion, care and talent demonstrated by our dedicated teams every day. We have a significant opportunity, as one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals and a Major Trauma Centre for a wider population of 3 million people stretching from Anglesey to the Peak District, to raise the profile of our capability much further.

We have an annual income of c£1.4bn and over 12,000 dedicated staff operating across two busy sites at Royal Stoke University Hospital and the County Hospital at Stafford. We provide a wide range of acute and specialist healthcare services to our local populations in Staffordshire, South Cheshire and Shropshire.

We are seeking an experienced medical leader who has operated at or close to Board level and can bring credible, compassionate, and professional leadership to our dedicated medical colleagues and across our workforce. This is an opportunity to bring your leadership experience to the Board of one of the country’s largest university hospitals and help us unlock our huge potential to improve outcomes.
